USAID LEV Assists Lviv Region Authorities in Eliminating Administrative Barriers to SME Development
On October 3-4 USAID LEV experts presented their proposals on improving business climate in Lviv city to the first Deputy Mayor Hennadiy Vaskiv and the Director of the “City Institute” Oleksandr Kobzarev.
The proposals developed within the “Lviv regulatory Hub Initiative” suggest to replace permit procedures in the field of summer constructions placement as well as sign boards installation with the electronic declarations . As a result the law-abiding entrepreneurs would save time and money and the city authorities would be able to focus on conquering real misconducts. It was agreed to launch implementation of the proposals as a joint project of the Lviv regulatory Hub and the City Institute. The Deputy Mayor declared the readiness to provide municipal budget for developing necessary IT products for declarations to be processed in electronic form.
Also, Lviv regulatory Hub joint the efforts with the USAID LEV Analytical component in development Lviv Oblast SME support Strategy by 2020 . Such, on October 5, Taras Khavunka, the Initiative Coordinator, attended the 4th working meeting at the Lviv oblast state administration and provided some comments and proposals to the draft Strategy and future Action plan for its implementation.
